A country that is an island, has three time zones in the last decade, has occupied the first places in the transfer of countries with more international students and more kindness with foreigners. This month the handmade box has
Set of 4 modern green, blue and white floral bordered patchwork quilted place mats that are perfect for adding a touch of class to your dining table for that special dinner party or for every day use.
SIZE: 14" x 12" (36cm x 31cm)
Each place mat has 12 central blocks of lime green, teal green and white 2.5 inch squares that have been quilted in a cross hatch in blue thread. These are surrounded by a deep blue batik fabric with rolling curls quilted all around and the final border brings all the colours together in a beautiful floral fabric with splashes of yellow flowers and green leaves. The large border has the same swirls as the inner border but larger in scale. I have finished it all off with a blue binding.
I have used a lovely fabric on the back of large poppy style flowers in a teal green on grey with yellow and white to co-ordinate with the front perfectly.
The batting is a good quality 100% cotton (Matilda's Own) The binding has been double folded, machine sewn to the front and hand sewn to the back for a neat and durable finish.
They are made to be used! If you want you can protect them from stains by using a spray of Scotch Guard or similar. They can be washed in your machine and line or tumble dried on low and ironed to bring them back to their new crisp finish.
